City to study neighborhoods surrrounding college campuses; public meeting scheduled for July 25

[Duluth, MN] – The City of Duluth would like to hear from residents and citywide stakeholders about current and future land use for the areas surrounding college campuses. Between 2001 and 2010, the student population in Duluth increased by 30%, making higher education a major economic driver in the city. Because of this increase, a small area plan will be conducted by the City of Duluth Planning Division to review areas around the higher education institutions to better understand the impacts on land use, transportation, and the local economy.
